Rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) pled guilty to felony charges of peddling heroin and crack cocaine in 1994 at age 19 in New York. He served a total of six months in boot camp. In 2003, he was sentenced to two years probation for battery and assault.

The guilty plea came as part of an agreement with prosecutors in which three misdemeanor counts driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance stemming from an Oct. 18, traffic stop were dropped.

Actor Rip Torn was charged in March of 2009, with breaking into a Connecticut bank with a loaded handgun while intoxicated. Torn did not violate terms of prior probation in this case since he was traveling on foot. Posted $100,000 bail and successfully completed a 2 month stint in an in-patient treatment facility. He is still going through outpatient treatment as well as the current alcohol education program he is currently participating in for prior convictions.

This police mug shot released by the Dekalb Sheriff’s Office, shows musician Kid Rock after he was arrested early Sunday morning, Oct. 21, 2007, following a brawl at a Waffle House in Atlanta. Rock, who was in town for a show, was released hours later after posting bond. He later pled no contest to one count of simple battery. He was required to pay a fine of $1000 in addition to 80 hours of community service and mandatory 6-hour anger management course as reported on the Dekalb County website.

Kimberly Denise Jones, known mostly as rapper Lil Kim is seen here in her 1996 following her arrest for possession of marijuana. While she spent no time in jail for that offense, Jones did spend 10 months, out of a one year, one day sentence in a federal prison from 2005 to 2006 when convicted of perjury after lying about about her friends’ envolvement in a shooting outside a Manhattan night club in 2001.

The actress is seen here in her 1989 arrest photo. She was found guilty of assault on a police officer following a traffic stop in Beverly Hills in which the star slapped police officer, Paul Kramer. She was sentenced to three days in jail and was required to pay $13,000 in court fees. Gabor served her time in an El Segundo jail. When asked about the incident Gabor has been known to say that the officer deserved the slap.

Legendary boxing promoter Don King is seen here in two different arrest photos. Between 1954 and 1966 King was a well-known criminal in Ohio alledgedly committing such crimes as murder, arson, drug dealing and manslaughter. The crimes in which these photos were taken are unknown. Although he was charged with the murder of Hilary Brown he was never convicted as the final verdict found in favor of King by way of self defense. He was however convicted of 2nd degree manslaughter in the beating death of Sam Garrett. A retrial of the case eventually overturned that verdict and King was then convicted of non-negligent manslaughter. King served a total of three and one half years in prison for that crime.

Country superstar Johnny Cash is seen here in his arrest photo in 1965. Cash, returning to the U.S. from Mexico was detained at the El Paso airport in El Paso, Tx. under the suspision of smuggling heroin. Further investigation found this to be untrue. Instead Cash’s guitar case was stuffed with a large amount of amphetamines and tranquillizers. It is uncertain what if any formal charges were filed. Cash did spend the night in jail and paid a $1000 fine.

No stranger to legal troubles, James Brown was sentenced to six years in prison following an interstate car chase in 1998. He was convicted of two counts of aggravated assault and eluding police according to the New York Times. Brown, seen here in his booking photo served a total of two out of the six years.

Funk music pioneer George Clinton, shown in an undated booking mug, was arrested Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 in Tallahassee, Fla., and charged with drug possession after allegedly telling an officer he had cocaine in his pocket. Clinton spent less than one hour in jail before posting $2650. According to the documents posted online by the Leon County clerk he pled no contest to the two misdemeanor counts of drug-paraphanelia charges while the felony drug charge for the cocaine was dropped. The details of his sentence were not available. Clinton, 63, who headed the funk bands Parliament and Funkadelic and the collaboration later known as P-Funk in the 1970s and 1980s is considered a father of the genre.

Musician and former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney was arrested in Tokyo, Japan on January 16, 1980 when customs officials seized almost a half a pound of marijuana found in his luggage. The amount, which was said to be for personal use, was large enough to warrant a smuggling charge punishable by a seven-year prison sentence. McCartney was behind bars for 9 days before he was released and deported.

Country singer Wynonna Judd is shown in a police photo after she was arrested for drunken driving on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 in Nashville, Tenn. She was convicted of the charge on December 16, 2003. Details regarding her sentence were not available on the Davidson County website.

Sitcom star and comedian Tim Allen is shown in this Kalamazoo, Mich., police photo on October 2, 1978, after he was arrested for attempting to sell cocaine to an undercover officer. Allen, then 25, was said to have a pound and a half of the substance which then, under Michigan law, carried a potential sentence of life in prison. Allen decided to turn state’s evidence receiving a sentence of five years for testifying against his cohorts. He was paroled just after serving half of his sentence.

Rodriquez was one of two cast members of the hit ABC series “Lost” arrested in Kailua, Hawaii, on suspicion of drunk driving. She settled two previous traffic cases Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005. Rodriguez had a choice of 240 hours of community service or a five day jail sentence. She chose to go to jail as reported in People magazine. She served her time in the very same prison that Lindsay Lohan is currently at.

Paul Reubens, the 38-year-old actor known as Pee-Wee Herman, is shown July 29, 1991 in this police booking mug from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s department. He was arrested on charges of indecent exposure in an adult movie theater. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor obscenity charge and was convicted in March 2004. In exchange for pleading guilty he received a sentence that included a fine of $100, one year of counseling and three years probation. He also had to register as a sex offender for the duration of his probation period.

Christian slater is seen here in a 1994 arrest photo. He was detained for attempting to board a flight with a 9mm pistol in his luggage. In 1997 he served 59 days of a 90 day sentence for three counts of assault and one count of battery. According to online reports Slater was arrested for beating his then girlfriend and assaulted the man that tried to help her. Slater began attacking a police officer he reportedly screamed ‘the Germans are coming, and they will kill us!’ He later admitted to being under the influence of cocaine and heroin at the time.
